THIS MEETING IS BEING RECORDED:

 

I hereby declare that notice has been given to the Herald Times, the Gazette-Leader, and the Atlantic City Press and posted on the bulletin board of the Middle Township Municipal Building stating the time and place of the following meeting as required in P.L.  Chapter 231 of the State of New Jersey (Sunshine Law).

 

The Middle Township meeting was called to order by Norman Lochten, Deputy Township Clerk on the above date at 2:00 PM in the Municipal Building. The purpose of this meeting is to reorganize for the year 2002. Assemblyman-elect Dr. Jeff Van Drew swore in newly elected Committeewoman Susan DeLanzo for a three-year term.  Committeewoman DeLanzo gave acceptance speech. On motion by Committeemember Leusner seconded Committeemember DeLanzo and unanimously passed on roll call, F. Nathan Doughty was chosen as Mayor for the year 2002.  On motion by Mayor Doughty seconded by Committeemember DeLanzo and unanimously passed on roll call, Charles Leusner was chosen to act as Mayor in the absence of the Mayor.  Assemblyman Van Drew swore in the Mayor.

1.        RESOLUTION NO. 1-02 - APPOINTMENTS - 2002 - On motion by Committeemember Leusner seconded by Committeemember DeLanzo and unanimously passed on roll call, the following resolution was adopted:

2.        ORDINANCE NO. 1097-2002 - AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION OF THE OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MIDDLE. - On motion by Committeemember Leusner seconded by Committeeman Hodges and unanimously passed on roll call, Ordinance No. 1097-2002 passed first reading. Second reading, hearing and consideration for adoption will be held on February 4, 2002 at 6:00 P.M.

WHEREAS, the Township of Middle, County of Cape May, desires to establish a 2002 Temporary Debt Service Budget,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Committee of the Township of Middle as follows:

WHERAS, the Township of Middle, County of Cape, desires to establish a 2002 Temporary Capital Budget to permit various capital improvements,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Committee of the Township of Middle as follows:
Section 1 The Temporary Capital Budget of the Township of Middle is hereby constituted as follows:
